The Volume by SMTH Shapes is a high performance shortboard that was developed to go a step further and touch better in weak conditions than Jordy’s go to competition model the Maytrix. After qualifying for the Olympics in Japan, Jordy flew over there and started refining this design. Besides increasing the boards overall volume as the name suggests the outline slightly shifts wider particularly towards the nose. The deck also utilises an aesthetically pleasing roll that hides thickness along the stringer line and tapers off towards the rails. A relaxed rocker offers quicker glide and speed generation whilst a deeper concave down the centre provides lift and allows you to maneuver effortlessly.
